We spent the holiday in Southern California, enjoying a happy hour by the fire pit and then heading to one of our favorite sushi spots for outdoor, distanced dining. I love Valentine’s Day because it is an excuse to shower friends and family with love.

We have made it a goal to learn how to cook sushi at home. We have started looking into recipe books and necessary supplies in hopes that we can host a sushi dinner party in the future. Or at least a sushi dinner party for two people, a cat, and a golden retriever.

I love this fit and flare dress from Draper James. The red and black color scheme creates a moody yet festive Valentine’s Day vibe.

Dress: Draper James, Purse: Kate Spade (similar), Shoes: Target, Denim Jacket: old (similar here and here).

Will: Sweater: old L.L. Bean (I also like this sweater).
