Leftover pumpkins from Halloween? Don’t throw them out! Turn them into a a vase for fresh flowers. This unique centerpiece is perfect for November dinner parties, especially Thanksgiving.
First, cut off the top of your pumpkin and scoop out the inside. You do not have to be a perfectionist about cleaning out the inside of your pumpkin as you won’t be placing a candle inside of it. Save the seeds to bake in the oven for a tasty snack. I used this easy recipe found here. Then, cut the stems of your flowers and arrange them however you prefer. Simple as that!
My pumpkin contained sunflowers, roses, chrysanthemums, marigolds, and silver dollar eucalyptus – all bought from Trader Joe’s. You can choose any flower that appeals to you! If you wanted, you could also plant succulents inside your pumpkin.
I hope your pumpkin vase adds an extra wow factor to your tablescape. Cheers!
