Autumn is the perfect season to host a cozy dinner party at home. I decided to combine yellow and navy hues to create a golden harvest tablescape of my own. My inspiration came from the golden glow that casts over nature as summer transitions into fall.
This tablescape was extremely fun to put together. The mustard yellow dishes add vintage charm, and the accent plates and table runner add a more contemporary, Tuscan flare. I am a big fan of mixing the old with the new to achieve classic yet unique looks. Sunflowers were the perfect choice for the centerpiece as this flower represents the end of summer and the coming of fall. Lemons and leaf sprigs added extra pops of color to tie it all together. To add extra coziness, candles and twinkle lights were interspersed on the table and buffet.
For dinner, we served spaghetti and meatless meatballs to accommodate our vegetarian friends. Gardein makes incredible meatless meat that is very easy to make. You can typically find this brand in the frozen section at your local grocery store. For dessert, we had lemon bars, cake, and shots of limoncello. It was an Italian feast loved by all, including our golden retriever, Lucy.
I can’t wait until our next dinner party, and neither can Lucy. Cheers!
